The Google Ads team has unveiled a helper tool for importing offline conversions. It's called the Offline Conversion Import (OCI) helper. The data that can be learned through it is used to find similar leads. The OCI helper will give company employees detailed instructions to track the path of potential customers, from ad contact to transaction.
What you need to do to get started:
- You need to go to the tool page and set up a data exchange between OCI and your Google Ads account. Advertisers can set up integration with an existing advertising account or create a new one.
- The system will prompt you to answer a few questions about your business, running ads, tracking data, and potential customers' path to purchase. The advertiser will also need to fill out information about the team working on the promotion and spell out each employee's role in the deal-making process.
- Each employee will then receive action alerts by mail and detailed instructions from the OCI assistant.
A centralized dashboard will help advertisers control workflows and track progress.
The Google team plans to introduce more options to the tool by the end of 2021.
