The messaging app has finally made the data transfer feature from Android to iPhone available as part of its beta program.
At the same time, several requirements must be met:
- The number for WhatsApp will be used on the iPhone as on the Android smartphone.
- iPhone must be new (or reset to factory settings).
- Both smartphones must be connected to charging and one Wi-Fi network.
After that, on the Android-smartphone it is enough to open the application "Transfer to iOS" and select WhatsApp in the list of available data. Next, follow the on-screen instructions.
Note that data transfer from Android requires the presence of the latest device firmware: iOS 15.5 and above. At the same time, you can get data even from an old smartphone – up to Android 5.0.
Currently, the feature is only available in the latest beta: WhatsApp 2.22.10.70 on the iPhone and 2.22.7.74 on Android. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post.
