When asked about links, Google's John Mueller answers the question: "They're just URL parameters. It's more important to understand if the links themselves are artificial or not." It's clear from what he said that natural links are more determined by how they were added. UTM parameters, on the other hand, are irrelevant.
Muller also added that Google often ignores everything that comes after the "?" symbol in a URL.
