Google is testing a new checkbox in the business profile (formerly Google My Business). The "Mark as Special" setting appeared on some users' profiles when they added an item.
There is speculation that items with this checkbox will appear at the top in Google Search and Google Maps. But at the moment, Google has not made an official announcement about the new checkbox.
