The Google Analytics team has made several changes to permission management.

  1. The "Manage Users" permission has been removed. An administrator role has appeared, which combines user management and the editor role.
  1. The "Edit", "Share", "Read and Analyze" permissions have been renamed to Editor, Analyst, and Viewer.
  1. A new "None" option has been added. It shows that the user does not have any roles for a particular resource, but may have roles for others.
  1. New Data Restrictions:
  • "No Cost Metrics" – restricts viewing cost metrics in Google Analytics 4 resources;
  • "No Revenue Metrics" – restricts viewing revenue related metrics.
