The name of the site appears at the top of the snippet in Google mobile search next to the favicon and URL. This test also affected advertising.
The Twitter user who discovered this and shared it finds the feature redundant.
Well this is almost certainly a new test for Google. Beside they favicon they are displaying both the root domain in bold, without the www, and the page URL below that.
