Google will allow you to remove photos of minors from searches. They will then stop appearing as thumbnails in Google's general search results and disappear from the "Pictures" section, but they can still remain online.
Users of that age, their parents or guardians can submit a request to have pictures of people under 18 removed.
You must provide:
- the URL of the image;
- name and age;
- describe the queries for which the images appear in search results.
The minor's parents or guardians will need to confirm the relationship.
An exception would be if the photo is of "public interest" or news-related. The new policy will allow young users to better control their electronic footprint.
