Hidden numbers will not show up in local search results or on Google Maps. The option is intended for companies that do not want to be called.
An updated Google help document explains how to hide your phone number from your company profile. To do this, you need to log into your Google My Business account and select "Edit profile" – "Additional business profile settings" – "Advanced settings" in the required business profile.
In the "Phone number" section click to activate the "Do not show" item.
