John Mueller responded to a question on Twitter about whether a site should expect negative effects from customized linking between language or regional versions of pages.
The Google spokesman said he could hardly even think of a single reason why the practice might be perceived negatively.
Mueller added: "Linking makes it easier for both users and search engines to interact with the site."
I can't think of any reason why cross-linking your language/country versions of pages would have a negative impact. It just makes everything much easier, for users, and for search engines.— 🐝 johnmu.xml (personal) 🐝 (@JohnMu) May 12, 2022
