Algorithm rollout is expected to start in February 2022 and is expected to end a month later, in March.
Desktop pages will be tested with the same three Core Web Vitals metrics:
- LCP;
- CLS;
- FID.
Additionally, other aspects of page interaction signals, such as HTTPS availability and lack of intrusive cross-page ads, will remain important.
The desktop usability signal is based on the URLs that users see, so it won't be the deciding factor.
