Google officially announced the launch of a new report in Search Console – Video index report. Its purpose is to help users understand the performance of their videos on Google and identify possible areas for improvement.
The report shows the indexing status of videos on your site. This will help you answer the following questions:
- On how many pages did Google identify the video?
- Which videos were successfully indexed?
- What are the problems preventing video from being indexed?
The report refers to video indexing, independent of any structured video data, and therefore does not show the validity of structured video data elements. Video Rich's performance report remains unchanged.
