Since some users share devices from which they google something, it may be important for them not to save their entire search history for other people to access. Google made it possible to add additional protection to search queries saved in the account.
Thus, a new method has been developed to quickly delete the last 15 minutes of the saved search history with one click of a button. The feature is available on the Google iOS app, but will also appear on the Google Android app later this year.
The auto-deletion controls allow you to set your account to automatically and continuously delete Google search history and other app and web search history from your account after 3, 18 or 36 months.
For new accounts, the default automatic history deletion and search setting is 18 months, but you can reconfigure this setting.
