Merchant Center supports .webp graphic format

The source – support.google.com

The Google Merchant Center now supports the WebP image format (.webp). This is a modern graphics format that allows you to compress images on the Internet with little or no loss.

As before, advertisers can use JPEG, PNG, GIF, BMP and TIFF images.

WebP files can be specified as the value of the image_link [image_link] and additional_image_link [additional_image_link] attributes.

In addition, the Merchant Center has made changes to the rules regarding availability and shipping information. So, instead of "Problems with delivery", an inscription with information about the goods "Inaccurate information about the availability of goods (the data on the payment pages does not match the information on the landing pages)" will appear. This change will take effect on September 1st.
