The Creatopy team conducted a study by running an ad campaign on Instagram Reels and TikTok with identical settings and creatives. The ads were run in the U.S. and each campaign had a budget of about $1,000.
In the end, Instagram ads showed more reach and impressions with lower CPCs and CPMs.
On almost all metrics, Instagram Reels ads performed better than TikTok ads.
