The Google Ads team is constantly testing the appearance of ads. Now it's coming up with a lighter font for some parts of URLs in the ads.
The domain name remains black, while subdomain and page addresses become light gray.
Google is doing more testing for how urls appear in ads, with sections appearing as lighter. This example shows everything aside from the domain name as lighter, along with another variation where only the scheme is lighter.
