An experimental Google "Listen" button has appeared in the Favorites box in search. Apparently, the company is testing a new feature so that users can listen to the results of the desktop SERP. While the "Hear this out loud" button is displayed only in selected descriptions.
Similar technology is used in Google ChromeBooks and other products.
