Google assigns multiple languages to pages with multilingual content

Google normally assigns one language to each page, but sometimes the search engine can assign multiple languages to a page. For example, if it contains content in different languages. Such cases are possible with sites in the tourism industry and not only.

There is a separate situation that requires attention – when Google incorrectly determines the language. For example, if an English-language site contains accommodation for rent in Spain, and all the addresses and place names are given in Spanish.

In this case, Google may think that the entire page is in Spanish: it will be difficult for it to rank if someone is looking for housing to rent in Spain by entering queries in English.
