Google's John Mueller answered questions from webmasters about how the search engine perceives links to unsafe HTTP pages.
The question seemed important: if secure pages are important for a search engine, does this mean that links from sites should also lead to HTTPS pages. Do external links affect HTTP sites.
Muller noted that SEOs shouldn't worry: if you need to link to an HTTP page, you should. Google has nothing against such links.
