Google can separate a part of its business, which deals with auctions and placement of advertisements on sites and applications, into a separate company within the structure of the Alphabet holding. This is reported by The Wall Street Journal.
The initiative to separate part of Google into a separate company was put forward to avoid an antitrust lawsuit in the United States. But whether the structural changes will help prevent a lawsuit is unclear. The value of the new division, depending on the assets included in it, can amount to tens of billions of dollars.
