For example, this can be seen in searches for queries related to city names [New York] or [London]. For those queries, Google previously showed links to Wikipedia in the knowledge block.
Google employee Danny Sullivan said that this feature is not new. Some knowledge blocks have descriptions written by Google authors, they appeared in knowledge blocks back in 2018.
