A Google spokesperson confirmed that the search company would test the new IndexNow protocol, which was first introduced by Microsoft Bing and Yandex a few weeks ago.
IndexNow allows Web site owners to instantly inform search engines of the latest changes to the content on their Web sites. It's a simple link checking protocol that lets search engines know that a URL and its content have been added, updated or removed, and quickly reflect that change in their search results.
The protocol is simple. All you have to do is create a key on your server and publish the URL to the search engine to notify participating IndexNow search engines of the change.
