Merchant Center product feeds will become available for more video campaigns on YouTube.

Advertisers will be able to show product cards below video ads in campaigns with "Brand and Product Interest" and "Brand Recognition and Reach" goals, not just "Sales."

The bar below the video ad automatically expands to show other products as the user views it. If he clicks on a product, he'll be taken to the product landing page where he can make a transaction.

To use a feed in video campaigns, you need to:

  • Include a minimum of four products and add their images with a 1:1 aspect ratio;
  • Include product ads in your Merchant Center account;
  • Link your account to Google Ads.

Once a feed has been added to a campaign and the settings have been saved, it will not be possible to replace the product feed.

According to the company, product cards under video ads motivate users to make purchases and increase clicks and conversions. Data shows that advertisers who add product feeds to video campaigns get an average of 60% more conversions at a lower cost.
