The Google team announced several updates for Performance Max in the Google Ads help.
Campaigns will get a new objective – New Customer Acquisition. The statistics page will include campaign diagnostics and information on object effectiveness for various segments.
The new target will make it possible to increase bids for potential customers over existing ones or focus only on attracting new customers, while maintaining cost efficiency.
The system will be able to automatically identify users as existing or potential customers. However, the Google Ads team recommends to help the algorithm – download the base with email addresses and set up a conversion tag.
On the statistics page, there will be information about the effectiveness of different ads for different segments of the audience.
Also there will work diagnostics of created campaigns Performance Max. The advertiser will be offered to fix bugs that are interfering with the display of ads – for example, if some objects have not passed moderation.
The described features will be available to advertisers Google Ads in the coming weeks.
