Google Ads API Removes Feed Based Extensions and Introduces ValueTrack Parameter

The Google Ads API team recalled the need to migrate existing feed-based extensions to entity-based extensions. Read more in the manual.

All of them will be automatically transferred in two installments:

  1. Callout, Promotion, Sitelink and Structured Snippet will be rescheduled on October 20, 2021 and removed on February 15, 2022.
  2. App, Call, Hotel Callout and Price will be rescheduled on February 15, 2022 and removed on April 8, 2022.

In addition, Google has introduced a new {extensionid} ValueTrack parameter. It has been available since June 24 and allows you to track clicks on object-based extensions. Repeats the behavior of the existing {feeditemid} parameter for feed-based extensions.
