The French data protection watchdog (CNIL) has agreed that Google Analytics does not comply with the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation <\/strong>(GDPR). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the definitions of the GDPR, the U.S. does not provide adequate privacy for personal data, so Google Analytics violates the law. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CNIL considered a specific case of GA use on a French site. As a result, it banned the administrator of the site from using this analytics system in its former mode. The owner of this web resource was given a month<\/strong> to comply.
